Calacatta marble is one of the most sought after white marble products in the market today. Calacatta marble should not be confused with Carrara although both come from Carrara Italy. In general Carrara is more readily available and it tends to be grayer with softer veining. Calacatta offers far less availability it is an exclusive natural stone marble with a whiter base along with bolder more dramatic veining than its Carrara cousin.
The cost of Calacatta along with limited availability has put this beautiful stone out of reach and budget for most homeowners until now. The Builder Depot has launched a new collection of Calacatta marble subway tiles, floor tiles, Hexagon, Basketweave, Herringbone mosaics and trims creating affordability and availability for homeowners, contractors and developers of a much sought after Calacatta marble tile.
The Builder Depot focuses primarily on Calacatta Gold polished. It is a common misconception that polished mosaics increase slippage on bathroom floors. This is not the case it is actually the grout lines that create traction which is equal in polished and honed mosaics. The grout creates the necessary anti-slip. The reason for polished is simple Calacatta exhibits the most graceful of veining patterns and polished enhances these characteristics.

Q. Are these prices square foot or per tile? Our prices are PER SQUARE FOOT for example order the 3x6" Subway Tile will get you 8 tiles which are loose not on a mesh, remember to add 10-15% for design cuts and waste.
